How is data isolated between firms and clients?

Every firm operates in its own logically isolated workspace - your clients, documents, tasks and billing are scoped to your firm and never visible to any other firm on Audex. Within your firm, role-based access controls what staff and clients can see, and all data is encrypted in transit and at rest with 256-bit encryption.

Do my clients need to install anything?

Accepted Answer

No. Document upload links open in any browser - on a phone, tablet or desktop. Clients tap the link you send on WhatsApp or email and upload files directly, with no app to install and no account or password required. The optional client portal also runs entirely in the browser.

How does payment work for paid plans?

Checkout is powered by Razorpay - pay with UPI, any major card, netbanking or wallets. Your plan activates the moment payment succeeds, and a GST invoice-ready receipt lands in your inbox. If a payment fails, nothing is charged; any deducted amount is auto-refunded by Razorpay within 5–7 business days.

What happens when I hit my plan limits?

Nothing breaks and nothing is deleted. You will see an in-app notice when you approach a limit (clients, staff users or storage), and existing data stays fully accessible. To add more, you simply upgrade to the next plan - the change takes effect immediately.

What if I stop renewing? Do I lose my data?

Accepted Answer

No. If a plan lapses, your workspace is locked until you renew - but every document, client record, task and invoice stays intact and fully exportable. Nothing is deleted; you simply regain access the moment you renew.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export your clients, tasks, invoices and transaction records as CSV, and download all stored documents at any time. Your data belongs to your firm - there is no lock-in, and exports are available on every plan.

Is the AI advice reviewed by a human?

Accepted Answer

Always. AI-generated suggestions - like 80C/80D/NPS opportunities or regime comparisons - land in a review queue where a CA at your firm approves, edits or discards them before anything reaches a client. Every AI output also carries a clear “verify with your CA” disclaimer. Audex assists professional judgement; it never substitutes for it.

What support do you offer?

All plans include email support and a searchable help centre. Growth adds priority email support with faster response times, and Firm adds priority support across channels. During Indian filing peaks (March, July, September), we extend support hours because that is when you need us most.

Do you charge per client or per client login?

Accepted Answer

No. Plans are priced flat per firm with a generous client allowance (50 on Starter, 100 on Growth, 400 on Firm, and unlimited on Enterprise). Client portal logins are free and unlimited within your client allowance - clients never count as paid seats.

Will I get an invoice for my payment?

Yes. Every payment gets a receipt you can download anytime from Settings → Plan & billing. The price you see is the price you pay - billed annually, with no extra charges added at checkout.
